Susan McFadzean

Su is fascinated by patterns. More specifically the way in which our belief systems, habits and life experiences show up in how we move the physical body and vice versa.

Su has been a yoga educator for just over 10 years, starting with a Vinyasa YTT in her hometown of Johannesburg and moving on to South Korea to study under Ana Forrest and her first mentor, Sinhee McCabe. She has assisted both Ana and Sinhee on trainings and workshops in Shanghai, South Korea, Sydney and New Zealand. Su has accumulated well over 800 hours of continuing education under these and other yoga educators.

Su also holds a degree (and experience) in secondary school education, and is passionate about navigating ways of meaningfully combining these two professions.

She believes that yoga is a practice that evolves and changes over time and where the learning and self-inquiry is ongoing. She is currently immersed in a 500hr mentorship in Hañsa Yoga and Hañsa Therapy with Vincent Bolletta. She is also currently undergoing a professional training to be a Compassionate Inquiry facilitator with Dr. Gabor Maté.

Su’s classes combine elements of all her learning and experience to empower students to identify, observe and navigate their own patterning in order to support better ways of moving and being – promoting and supporting overall functionality, health and ultimately how we participate in and navigate the world around us.
