Our Ethos
We believe yoga is mahi.
The word mahi turns up a lot in common parlance nowadays. It usually translates as “work”, in particular the kind of focussed, challenging work that calls on all our abilities and talents, and leaves us feeling maybe a little tired, but proud of what we’ve done. And energised to do more. A lot like the feeling you get after a yoga class.
We believe yoga is mahi. It’s mahi for the body, mahi for the mind and the emotions, and mahi for our wairua or spirit. It’s also fun, relaxing, sweaty and a great way to restore balance by getting us out of our heads and into our bodies.
The mahi we do on the yoga mat supports the mahi we do in our lives, with our families, our jobs, and our communities.
“Superb, enjoyed full body movements and Friday morning dancing flow :) Great class.”
