Yin Yoga concentrates on floor postures that stimulate connective tissues includes the ligaments and fascia.
Connective tissue does not stretch like muscle and takes more time to become more pliable and denser/stronger.
For this reason postures are held for longer periods of time. Relaxing music and soft lighting are often incorporated to further calm the mind and release the spiritual potential this practice offers.
Bolster, blanket, yoga block and straps are provided for all Yin classes.
Classes are 60-90 minutes. Suitable for all levels, perfect yoga for beginners. Room temperature is at teachers discretion.
